Imagine never having to carry your car keys again! Soon, if you own a Mahindra electric SUV, you’ll be able to unlock and start your car using just your Samsung Galaxy phone. Samsung pronounced this exciting update during an event in Bengaluru, showing off how the Samsung Wallet app can now become your car key.

A New Way to Unlock Your Car

Samsung is presenting a feature called the Digital Car Key in its Samsung Wallet app for users in India. At first, this feature will work only with select Mahindra electric SUVs, like the Mahindra BE 6, which Samsung demonstrated during the event.

With this feature, you can:

  • Unlock and lock your Mahindra eSUV using your mobile.
  • Start the car without using a physical key.
  • Share your car key numerically with friends or family for a short time.

This means if someone else needs to drive your car, you can send them a temporary digital key, and they can access your vehicle easily — no extra keys needed!

Safe and Secure

Samsung has also thought about security. If your Galaxy phone is lost or stolen, you can use Samsung Find to:

  • Remotely lock your phone,
  • Delete your data, and
  • Remove your Digital Car Key from the device.

The Samsung Wallet uses biometric and PIN confirmation to make sure no one else can unlock your Mahindra eSUV. So your car and data both stay safe.

Extra Features in Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet isn’t just for cars! It was recently updated to show live updates for flights, train trips, and events. You can see this info right on your lock screen or always-on display. You can even pin important updates like staying passes or tickets next to the time on your screen.

A Step Toward a Smarter Future

This partnership between Samsung and Mahindra shows how technology is changing the way we travel. With digital car keys, people won’t need to worry about forgetting or losing their car keys anymore.

Samsung aims to make life modest by bringing more features to its Galaxy devices, while Mahindra continues to lead India’s electric vehicle shop with modern, connected cars.
