OnePlus 15s Back in Launch Schedule, Camera Changes Tipped

The OnePlus 15s, which was previously rumoured to be cancelled, may now launch later this year. Reports about its cancellation had surfaced alongside claims of internal issues within Oppo’s ecosystem, as Oppo is the parent company of OnePlus. However, new information suggests the smartphone has once again become part of the company’s release plans, though some hardware — especially the camera — could see changes.

Latest Leak Update

In a post on X, tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) said the OnePlus 15s has returned to the launch roadmap. He also hinted that the company may be facing certain challenges, and even though development has resumed, the device may not arrive exactly as originally expected. The most noticeable change is likely to be in the camera system.

Possible Positioning and Camera

For context, the OnePlus 13s launched on June 5 in India and global markets as a modified version of China’s OnePlus 13T. Following the same strategy, the OnePlus 15s could also arrive as a rebadged OnePlus 15T, which has already appeared on several certification websites ahead of its China debut.

Leaks suggest the phone may feature a dual rear camera setup, including either a 200MP or 50MP primary sensor paired with a 50MP telephoto lens.

Expected Specifications

The OnePlus 15s could sport a 6.31-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and slim, uniform bezels. It is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset — the same processor likely to power the flagship OnePlus 15.

Expected RAM and storage variants:

  • 12GB + 256GB
  • 12GB + 512GB
  • 16GB + 256GB
  • 16GB + 512GB
  • 16GB + 1TB

Launch Timeline

Reports indicate the OnePlus 15T may launch in China around mid-to-late March. After that, the OnePlus 15s is expected to be introduced in global markets.
