Adobe has announced a new initiative for students enrolled in accredited higher education institutions across India. Under this plan, the company will provide free access to several of its productivity and creativity applications. Additionally, Adobe has partnered with NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime to offer AI-based learning and certification programmes. The announcement was made at the AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Currently, Adobe also offers a paid student subscription plan in India that includes apps such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Acrobat Pro.
Collaboration With NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime
During the AI Impact Summit 2026, Adobe confirmed that its AI tools — Photoshop, Acrobat, and Firefly — will now be available free of charge to students across the country. The offer applies to students enrolled in recognised higher education institutions in India. The company described the move as a strategic step to boost AI-driven creativity and productivity.
Along with free software access, Adobe will also provide a dedicated training curriculum to help students learn how to use these tools effectively. According to the company, its “AI-first” programme and curriculum will be offered at no cost to students in 15,000 schools and 500 colleges where Content Creator Labs will be set up. The government announced this initiative in the Union Budget 2026, aiming to create 2 million jobs in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector by 2030.
Courses, Certifications, and Training
Adobe has also partnered with NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime to launch AI learning courses and certification programmes for students. The company stated that this collaboration expands its global career training initiative, the Adobe Digital Academy.
At present, Adobe offers a discounted student subscription in India, priced at Rs. 400 for the first month and Rs. 2,714 per month thereafter. The Creative Cloud Pro student bundle includes apps such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Acrobat Pro, Adobe Express, Firefly, After Effects, InDesign, Lightroom, Adobe XD, Audition, Animate, Dreamweaver, InCopy, Lightroom Classic, Character Animator, Capture, Adobe Fresco, Bridge, Photoshop Express, Media Encoder, Lightroom Web, Acrobat Reader, Adobe Scan, and Fill & Sign.
