A Birthday Surprise… But Not a Good One
On September 1, BTS’s Jungkook went live to celebrate his 28th birthday with fans. Everybody was excited to see him and wish him well. But during the livestream, Jungkook shared something serious and a little scary.
He told fans that a outsider entered his home without permission.
What Happened?
A woman in her 40s broke into Jungkook’s house on August 31, just the day before his birthday. She said she was a “friend” of Jungkook, but that wasn’t correct. When police came, she ran through his underground parking lot. But guess what? Jungkook had CCTV cameras all over his home.
So, the police were able to catch her right away.
Jungkook Gives a Serious Note
While talking to fans, Jungkook said:
“ARMYs (BTS fans) are like family and friends to me. But wrong is wrong.”
He wanted to make it clear that even though he loves his fans, it is not okay to go to his house without permission.
He gave a strong warning:
“If you come into my home, I’ll lock you in. Everything is noted on CCTV. You’ll be taken away by the police.”
Jungkook looked upset because this wasn’t the first time something like this happened to him.
The Woman Was Arrested
The woman was booked for housebreaking by the Yongsan Police. She entered Jungkook’s parking area at 11:20 PM, which is very late at night. Thankfully, she was caught quickly, and no one was hurt. The police are still checking to find out why she did it.
Not the First Time…
This isn’t the only time Jungkook has had to deal with strangers coming to his home. Back in June, right after he done his military service, a Chinese woman was also caught trying to get into his house. She kept pressing buttons to guess his home password!
Just like this time, she was also arrested by the police.
A Message to All Fans
Jungkook loves ARMYs with all his heart. But he also wants fans to understand boundaries. It’s okay to support your favorite artist by listening to their song, watching their videos, and sending them messages online.
But it’s never okay to go to their house or try to meet them without permission.
Let’s Be Respectful
Jungkook is thankful for all the love from fans, but he also needs privacy and safety. Just like you wouldn’t want a stranger coming into your house, celebrities feel the similar way!
Let’s all be kind, caring, and humble fans.
Remember: Privacy = Safety
Let’s celebrate our idols from a safe distance!
