Google Pixel 10a Launch Date Announced; Design and Blue Colour Variant Revealed

Google’s next Pixel A-series smartphone, the Pixel 10a, is set to launch on February 18. The device will feature a familiar design, improved durability, and integrated Gemini AI.

Google has officially confirmed the launch timeline for the Pixel 10a, stating that the smartphone will be introduced later this month in India as well as global markets. According to the announcement made on Wednesday, the Pixel 10a will succeed the Pixel 9a, which was launched in March 2025. After weeks of leaks and speculation, the company has now teased the handset, making it clear that the new model will retain a design similar to its predecessor and will be offered in a blue colour option.

Google Pixel 10a Launch Date and Pre-Order Offer

The company has confirmed that the Pixel 10a will launch on February 18. While pricing details have not yet been revealed, Google has announced a limited-time promotional offer for Google Store subscribers. Users who sign up for updates on the Google Store by February 13 at 1:29pm IST will be eligible for a special benefit. This offer can be applied with the purchase of the Pixel 10a and redeemed on a future order.

Familiar Look With Subtle Changes

In terms of design, the Pixel 10a largely carries forward the styling of the Pixel 9a. The phone features a flat dual rear camera setup housed in a horizontal, pill-shaped camera bar, along with a single LED flash. The back panel includes centre-aligned Google branding, reflecting the brand’s minimalist design approach.

On the front, the device has thick bezels on all sides and a centrally placed hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The official teaser shows the Pixel 10a in a blue colour variant that closely resembles the Iris shade from the previous generation.

Hints of Better Durability and Camera Upgrades

Although Google has not yet disclosed the full specifications of the Pixel 10a, the company has hinted at several key improvements. The Pixel 10a is being described as the most durable Pixel A-series smartphone yet, suggesting enhanced dust and water resistance. Google has also teased improved photography performance, continuing the Pixel lineup’s strong focus on camera quality.

Like the Pixel 9a, the Pixel 10a will feature Gemini as a built-in AI assistant, offering smarter on-device support and advanced AI-driven features.

Expected Storage Options and Colours

According to reports, the Pixel 10a may be launched in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. In addition to the blue colour option, the smartphone is also expected to be available in Berry, Fog, Lavender, and Obsidian colourways.

Expected Price

In European markets, the Pixel 10a is reported to start at EUR 549 (approximately ₹58,000) for the 128GB model. The 256GB storage variant could be priced at EUR 649 (around ₹69,000). Official pricing for India and other regions is expected to be announced at launch.

With its familiar design, improved durability, AI integration, and competitive pricing, the Pixel 10a appears well positioned to further strengthen Google’s presence in the mid-range smartphone segment.
