- The Jhelum river dam broke, flooding parts of Srinagar.
- Around 9,000 people were evacuated in Budgam district.
- The Chief Minister said the river is rising slowly but still dangerous, and the government is keeping a close watch.
- In Drabshalla, a landslide hit the Ratle hydroelectric power project on the Chenab River, and rescuers are still searching for stuck peoples.

- Pakistan: About 880 people have died in this year’s monsoon floods.
- India: Nearly 150 people lost their lives in August only.
- Crops, homes, bridges, and roads have been damaged across both nations.
