Redmi Turbo 5 to Launch With a Massive 7,500mAh Battery and 6.5-Inch 1.5K Display

Smartphone fans get prepared! Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is reportedly working on its next mid-range powerhouse — the Redmi Turbo 5. Leaked details suggest this upcoming phone will come with major elevations over last year’s Redmi Turbo 4, including a huge 7,500mAh battery and a 1.5K LTPS display.

Redmi Turbo 5: What We Know So Far

According to standard tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 6.5-inch flat LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. This makes it slightly minor than earlier rumours that claimed a 6.6-inch screen. The phone is also expected to come with a metallic frame, giving it a premium build.

One of the biggest best part is its huge 7,500mAh battery, paired with 100W fast charging support. This is a big step up from the 6,550mAh battery in the Redmi Turbo 4. Such a large battery could easily control the phone through a full day of heavy use.

For added protection, the handset might also include an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water. Additionally, users can expect an in-display fingerprint scanner for quick and secure unlocking.

Possible Processor and Global Variant

Leaks suggest that the Redmi Turbo 5 might run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, an upgrade from the Dimensity 8400-Ultra found in the Turbo 4. This new chip should bring better performance and better energy efficiency for gaming and multitasking.

Interestingly, reports indicate that the phone could launch globally as the Poco X8 Pro, just like previous Redmi models that were rebranded for global markets.

A Look Back at the Redmi Turbo 4

The Redmi Turbo 4, launched in January 2025, featured a 6.67-inch 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,920Hz PWM dimming, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i safety. It ran on a 4nm Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC, supported by a Mali-G720 GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage.

For photography, it carried a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 20MP selfie shooter.

Expected Launch Timeline

The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to debut in early 2026, likely starting in China before reaching international markets. With a massive battery, fast charging, and a first-class design, this mid-range device could become one of Redmi’s most thrilling introductions yet.
