Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026 is scheduled for February 25, where the company will unveil its next-generation Galaxy S lineup. Pre-reservations for the upcoming smartphones, commonly called the Galaxy S26 series, have already opened in India. Samsung has announced that customers who pre-reserve the devices early will get a complimentary storage upgrade, along with extra benefits such as daily vouchers and a high exchange-value lock-in.
Free storage upgrade details
Samsung highlighted the offer in its Galaxy S26 pre-reserve promotion. Customers who pre-reserve and then pre-order the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, or Galaxy S26 Ultra will receive an upgrade to a higher storage variant at no additional charge.
For instance, buyers selecting the 256GB version could receive the 512GB model at no extra cost.
To pre-reserve, customers need to pay Rs. 999 for the Galaxy Pre-reserve VIP Pass. The pass also includes an e-Store voucher worth up to Rs. 2,699 when purchasing the new Galaxy smartphones. Additionally, customers can enter a draw offering a daily voucher worth Rs. 5,000 and a grand voucher worth Rs. 50,000.
Samsung is also providing a high exchange-value lock-in on old devices. Buyers can trade in their current smartphone and apply the exchange value toward the purchase of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, or Galaxy S26 Ultra. The final exchange value will depend on the phone model, its condition, and offer availability in the buyer’s location.
Offer available in India; price hike likely
Reports indicate the storage upgrade offer is already live in key markets, including India. The strategy appears aimed at encouraging early purchases and improving value for customers.
Meanwhile, recent reports suggest the new Galaxy S lineup could still become more expensive. Rising memory component costs have increased manufacturing expenses, making it harder for Samsung to keep prices stable.
