Vivo S50 Series May Launch With Periscope Lens and 50MP Selfie Camera!

Vivo is all set to launch its brand-new Vivo S50 series in China this November. Even before the official introduction, some exciting leaks have exposed what we might see in the upcoming smartphones. The new series will include two phones — the Vivo S50 and the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. These models will replace the Vivo S30 series that came out previously in May 2025. Interestingly, Vivo has skipped the number 40, as the number four is believed to be unlucky in Chinese culture.

Powerful Cameras With Periscope Zoom

The biggest highlight of the new Vivo S50 series is predictable to be its periscope telephoto lens, which helps capture faraway objects openly. It’s said to come with a flagship-level image sensor, giving photos sharp particulars and bright colors.

Last year’s S30 series already had a 50-megapixel periscope camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so it’s likely that the S50 will have a similar or even better camera system this time.

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini is also rumored to come with a triple rear camera system, which will include the similar zoom camera and a 50-megapixel selfie camera — perfect for persons who love taking high-quality selfies!

Display and Design Details

The Vivo S50 is said to feature a 6.59-inch display, which is slightly slighter than the 6.67-inch screen of the S30. The phone will still offer 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and gaming very smooth.

The smaller Vivo S50 Pro Mini is predictable to have a 6.31-inch AMOLED display, also with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones may feature a metal frame and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for quick and secure solving.

Processor and Performance

According to leaks, the Vivo S50 series will run on a powerful flagship processor, although the exact name hasn’t been confirmed yet. Some reports recommend that the S50 Pro Mini might use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip — the same one used in the Vivo X200.

Expected Price

While Vivo hasn’t revealed prices yet, the preceding Vivo S30 series started at CNY 2,699 (around ₹32,000), while the S30 Pro Mini started at CNY 3,799 (around ₹45,000).

If the leaks are true, the Vivo S50 series could be one of the most stylish and camera-focused smartphones of late 2025!
