Netflix, the app we all love for watching movies and shows, has something new and thrilling! Now, you can play games right on your smart TV using your phone as a manager. That means Netflix isn’t just for viewing anymore — it’s for playing too!
Netflix Becomes a Gaming Zone
Netflix has added a cool new feature that lets subscribers play games like Pictionary: Game Night, Boggle Party, Lego Party, Tetris Time Warp, and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends on their TVs. You can find all these games in the Games tab on the Netflix TV app.
This update has been in the works since early 2023. Earlier, Netflix only offered games on mobile phones. But now, they’ve made it even better by taking games to big screens!
How to Play Netflix Games on TV
It’s super easy to start playing. First, open the Netflix app on your smart TV and go to the Games tab. Pick a game you like. Then, use your phone as a controller — just download the Netflix Game Controller app on your mobile and you’re ready to play!
You can play alone or invite friends and family to join. Some games, like Boggle Party, allow up to eight players at one time!
Fun Games to Try
- Boggle Party: Find as many words as you can from a jumble of letters. Compete with friends to see who’s the best word finder!
- Lego Party!: Play mini-games and go on adventures to find hidden gold in themed Test Zones.
- Pictionary: Game Night: Draw and guess fun pictures just like the classic drawing board game!
- Tetris Time Warp: Travel through time and play Tetris in different eras. Score as many points as possible!
- Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends: Try to find out who’s pretending or “faking it” by catching strange clues.
Netflix Expands Beyond Shows and Movies
Netflix has been exploring gaming for about four years now. At first, their games were only for mobile users. But this new update takes Netflix gaming to a whole new level — right in your living room!
With this feature, Netflix wants to make family time more fun by turning movie nights into game nights. So next time you open Netflix, don’t just watch — play, laugh, and contest!
