Adobe Adds New AI Tools to Photoshop and Firefly

Adobe, the company behind Photoshop, has just pronounced exciting new updates at its Adobe Max 2025 event. These updates bring smart AI tools to help artists, designers, and creators work faster and more easily.

The biggest news is that Photoshop, Express, and Firefly are getting their own AI assistants. These supporters work like smart helpers—you can tell them what to do, and they will edit photos, make projects, or even adjust your videos for you.

New Firefly Model With Smarter Image Editing

Adobe also introduced a new version of its Firefly tool called Firefly Image Model 5. This tool supports people make and edit pictures using just words, known as “prompts.”

This new model can create snaps with very high quality and 4-megapixel resolution. It can also handle multi-layer editing, which means each part of the picture—like background, people, or objects—can be changed separately. You can either click and edit things by hand or tell the AI what to do using texting.

AI for Sound, Voice, and Video

Adobe isn’t stopping with pictures. The company also added AI-powered audio and video tools to Firefly. There’s a new Generate Soundtrack tool that can make song for your videos. You just upload your video, and the AI will suggest the right music style, tempo, and mood. You can even change these options before the final music is created.

Another feature is the Generate Speech tool, which helps you create professional voiceovers. Plus, Adobe added a Firefly video editor that can make, organize, and trim video clips automatically.

Custom Firefly Models for Everyone

Before now, only big businesses could train their own Firefly models. But now, anyone can make custom Firefly models. You can teach the AI your style using your own images, and it will learn to create new designs that look just like your work.

Smarter AI Assistants and Project Moonlight

Adobe also exposed something called Project Moonlight. This feature will connect all Adobe’s AI assistants together so users can switch easily between Photoshop, Express, and Firefly without losing their growth.

Adobe’s new update show how AI is becoming a better part of creative work—making it faster, easier, and more fun for everyone.
