BTS member V recently had a warm interaction with Japanese baseball star Shohei Ohtani.

On the 25th (local time), V threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds game held at Dodger Stadium in LA. The Dodgers, a famous Major League team, currently include South Korea’s Kim Hye-sung and Japan’s Shohei Ohtani. Even before the game, V’s appearance had created a huge buzz among fans.

The MLB Secretariat’s official social media shared photos and videos of V and Ohtani meeting before the pitch, captioning it: “BTS’ V met Shohei Ohtani ahead of the first pitch at the Dodgers!”

In the photos shared, V stood confidently next to Shohei Ohtani while wearing a Dodgers jersey. Despite Ohtani’s towering 193 cm height and strong build, V’s charm and presence stood out.

During the shoot, V hugged Ohtani with a bright smile, and later they exchanged a warm handshake, making the moment even more special.

Fans who saw the pictures reacted with excitement, saying things like, “V looks so striking even beside Ohtani,” and “The height and size difference isn’t as big as I expected—V’s visuals are just unreal.”

After completing his military service, V appeared on a YouTube channel and shared, “During my service, I worked out every day, sometimes six days a week. Now that I’m out, I don’t always have enough time, but I still try to stay consistent and exercise in a healthy way whenever I can.”

He also explained the reason behind his strong physique, saying, “My PT trainers are really intense, so I get tough workouts that help me build strength and bulk up.”

Meanwhile, global ticket platform StubHub revealed that ticket sales for the Dodgers game jumped nearly five times after it was announced that V would throw the first pitch. And on the 27th, Son Heung-min is also set to take the mound for the Dodgers, adding even more excitement for Korean sports fans.
