    What is Google Veo 3?

Google has extraordinary AI tools called Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast. These tools can make videos using artificial intelligence (AI). That means you give the computer instructions, and it creates videos for you—like magic!

This week, Google announced some sensational upgrades for both Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast.

    Better Video Quality

Earlier, Veo 3 could only make videos in 720p Quality. That’s good, but not the sharpest.

Now, it can create videos in 1080p HD—which means clearer and more attractive videos.

Example: Watching a movie in 1080p feels brighter and smoother than watching in 720p.

Vertical Videos Like Reels and TikTok

Google has also added a new vertical video format in (9:16).

That’s the style you usually see on:

    • Instagram Reels
    • TikTok videos
    • YouTube Shorts

Now developers (the people who make apps and websites) can ask Veo 3 to make creatives in this style too. This is super useful for mobile-first apps where people watch videos on their phones.

    Cheaper for Developers

Here’s another piece of good news: Google has reduced the cost for making videos with Veo 3.

    Earlier prices:

    • Veo 3 → $0.75 (₹66) per second of video
    • Veo 3 Fast → $0.40 (₹35) per second

    Now the new prices are:

    • Veo 3 → $0.40 (₹35) per second
    • Veo 3 Fast → $0.15 (₹13) per second

This means developers can now create videos at a lower value, making it easier to build cool apps.

Who Can Use It Right Now?

    Currently:

    • Veo 3 Fast is for Google AI Pro subscribers (₹1,950/month).
    • Veo 3 (the bigger and more powerful model) is for Google AI Ultra subscribers (₹24,500/month).

The new modernizes are first being rolled out through the Gemini API (a tool for developers). This means app makers can start using these new tools soon.

For normal users like us, these options are not yet open on the Gemini website or app, but they might come later.

    Why is This Update Important?

    • Better quality videos (1080p)
    • Vertical videos for social media apps
    • Lower costs for creating videos
    • More tools for developers to build creative apps and websites

Google wants to make video creation easier, cheaper, and better for both developers and users.

    Point of view

With Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast upgrades, Google is presenting how AI can change the way we make and watch videos.

Soon, you may see apps where videos are high-pitched, vertical like TikToks, and made in seconds—all thanks to AI!
