Xiaomi is preparing to launch another dominant smartphone in its famous Xiaomi 17 series — the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. After discharging the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max in China, the business is now working on the Ultra model, which is expected to be the best in the lineup.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Gets Official Approval
A new listing on a Chinese government website shows that Xiaomi 17 Ultra has received radio certification, which means it is one step closer to release. The phone’s model number, 25128PNA1C, was seen in this listing. This approval also exposed that the phone will support direct satellite connectivity, a feature that lets users make calls and send messages even without a normal mobile signal.
According to a well-known tipster named Digital Chat Station, the phone will work with Tiantong-1 and BeiDou satellite networks. These are the same systems used for satellite phones in China. The phone will also include Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which helps locate lost devices or smart tags — similar to how Apple’s AirTags work.
Expected Features and Design
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to come with a quad rear camera setup (four cameras on the back). The main camera could be a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens for super zoomed-in shots. It may also include three 50-megapixel cameras for ultra-wide, main, and portrait snaps.
Inside, the phone is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is one of the fastest chips for Android phones.
The phone could have a 6.8-inch LTPO display with 2K resolution and a 1Hz–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, making it faster and battery-efficient. Xiaomi might use a 3D-printed titanium frame, giving it a strong and premium build.
Battery and Launch Details
The battery might be between 7,000mAh and 7,500mAh, lasting easily for a full day or more. It will likely support 100W strengthened fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch in early 2026, possibly in January, as the successor to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
With its strong build, advanced cameras, and satellite calling features, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could be one of the most thrilling phones of 2026!
